Who we are

VNTRS is a sweat-equity startup accelerator working with the latest and greatest entrepreneurs around the world, meaning - we take equity in startups to build, launch and grow them into the next generation of scale-ups. We are currently 40 employees with a portfolio of 23 companies, both of which are growing at a rapid speed. At VNTRS we walk the talk, and believe in skin in the game, both for our incubated startups, and for our employees. That’s why all our employees also own a stake in the companies we invest in.


Who you are
You would probably define yourself as a Data Engineer, Backend Developer or “Data Hacker” and you have strong knowledge about cloud architectures, micro-services, serverless, and SQL VS NoSQL. You have a good understanding of at least a couple of languages, CI/CD, Terraform, and of course you have dabbled with some of the most common big data frameworks like Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Beam, Flink etc.
In summary: When we build new products, or do consulting, your natural role is “solving everything that is not frontend”.
Since we are in the time and age of “AI”, we also like it if you have an interest in machine learning and have tried out some stuff like NLP, computer vision or predictive analysis.

What you will do

You will be joining the new ML department of VNTRS where our goal is threefolded:

  1. Support startups with building products that are heavy in data and/or have machine learning features.
  2. Work with the team on internal projects (like data-driven investments) as well as factorizing learnings from our missions into a generalizeable ML Engine, so that we continuously improve our delivery time for our customers.
  3. Work with the team on larger external projects for companies in need of our skills. Typical deliveries can be setting up datalakes and pipelines, building complete MLOps infrastructure or making a specific ML product.
