We're looking for a design leader who believes that world-class design is the cornerstone of product strategy. This isn't just about creating elegant interfaces; it's about making the critical design decisions that shape a company's trajectory. You'll often be the design lead for our portfolio companies, translating ambiguous founder visions into tangible, user-loved digital products.

The role: a strategic design expert

As a senior product designer at VNTRS, you are the champion of both the user and the business. Your primary craft is design, but your canvas is the entire product. We're looking for a “pi-shaped” designer with deep expertise in both UX and UI, who also has a broad understanding of branding, strategy, and technology.

You will lead the design effort from concept to launch, while also serving as a strategic advisor to founders. In our context, the designer is often the bridge that holds a project together, acting as a product strategist and leader. You'll need to be both a safe, mentoring guide for our partners and a skilled craftsperson who can take an idea from a sketch to a fully realized design, ready for development, in just a few weeks.

How you'll make an impact

Lead the end-to-end design vision. You'll own the entire design process, from workshops and user research to creating high-fidelity prototypes and scalable design systems. You are the hands-on expert responsible for the product's look, feel, and user experience.

Translate ambiguity into clarity. You'll work directly with founders and stakeholders to de-risk ideas, validate concepts with users, and chart a clear path from idea to a shippable MVP.

Partner on product strategy. While you won't always own the backlog, you'll be a critical voice in shaping it. You'll use design thinking and user insights to influence the roadmap and help the team prioritize what truly matters.

Elevate the craft. You'll be the expert on interaction design, visual identity, and user research, with a particular strength in UI design. You'll work closely with developers to ensure pixel-perfect execution and iterate on the design as it comes to life in code.

Mentor and guide founders. You'll act as the design expert in the room, facilitating workshops, managing expectations, and guiding founders to make informed decisions for their brand and product.

Who you are

You have a rich portfolio that showcases your expertise in building digital products, demonstrating excellence in both UX and UI.

You have 6+ years of experience as a product designer and/or project manager, having worked across different industries with both large and small companies. Experience from a leading digital consultancy or agency is a major plus.

You have a strong understanding of branding and have experience creating visual identities, design guidelines, or design systems (logos, colors, typography, etc.).

You see design as a function that drives business outcomes, not just an aesthetic layer.

You're an expert with modern design tools like Figma and Framer, using them to deliver high-quality work efficiently

You actively explore how to use AI in your workflow, and having experience or a strong interest in designing AI-powered products is a major plus.

You are a pragmatic designer who understands that in a startup environment, process must sometimes be adapted to deliver value quickly.

You have exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating design decisions and inspiring confidence in founders and engineers.

You are fluent in both Swedish and English.
